Some ga comparative forms: Dev. ग, Gur. ਗ, Guj. ગ.
Gilgit in the upper line. This image is
a restrike of the Native duplex by Staal and Sharma 1981. The type is attested
only from Leh.
Lower line: The ga is rendered by the pair of vertical strokes here in
lagā-hu'a ~ attached, thus “stamped.” The lengthening
of the ga vowel is indicated by the v-shaped diacritic attached to the final element ha.
The upper line is often ţikaţ ~ stamp, but perhaps not here by virtue of the
downward stroke on the final.
Some gha comparative forms: Dev. घ, Gur. ਘ, Guj. ઘ.
Example of the gh in maghar.
